Dolphin (PG) Institute launched its full-time Training & Placement Cell in 2005, dedicated to guiding students toward the right career paths and job opportunities. The services include training, personality development, soft skills enhancement, and more. The cell has strong industry connections, demonstrated through the organization of on-campus and off-campus interviews, personality development programs (PDPs), industrial guest lectures, visits, and training. Led by a team of esteemed professionals—Mr. Arvind Gupta (Chairman), Dr. Shailja Pant (Principal), Mr. V. K. Nagpal (Director), Dr. Shruti Sharma (IQAC Coordinator), and Mr. Vijay Ratan Pawar (Placement Officer)—the T&P Cell blends technical skills, knowledge, and commitment.
The cell’s focus is on personality building, ensuring students not only secure placements but also enjoy job satisfaction and serve society with enthusiasm. The team explores career opportunities both in India and abroad, establishing strong partnerships with leading job providers, industries, medical colleges, hospitals, research centers, government agencies, and foreign embassies. In addition to helping students clarify career objectives, the cell organizes job listings, campus interviews, summer training, internships in hospitals, and personality development seminars, including CV writing, group discussions, and interview preparation. The T&P Cell also promotes self-employment opportunities for entrepreneurial students, assisting them in securing financial support from banks.
Students have year-round access to the cell via email and WhatsApp, ensuring continuous support. The success of the T&P Cell is reflected in its results, with over 90% of students successfully securing lucrative jobs in diverse industries such as pharmaceuticals, fermentation, vaccines, food, paper & pulp, distilleries, cosmetics, herbal, hospitals, agriculture, research, and academia.

- Responsibilities
- T&P Cell: Coordinate all placement activities and ensure smooth functioning of recruitment processes. Provide necessary infrastructure and logistics support for training and placement activities. Regularly update training programs based on industry requirements and feedback. Students: Actively participate in all training programs and placement activities. Adhere to the guidelines and timelines set by the T&P Cell. Prepare thoroughly for the recruitment process and maintain decorum.

Placement Drives: Campus Recruitment: Organizing on-campus recruitment drives, including pre-placement talks, written tests, group discussions, and interviews. Off-Campus Recruitment: Coordinating with other institutions for pooled campus drives. Industry Interaction: Guest Lectures: Periodical guest lectures and industry talks by professionals and alumni. Industrial Visits: Arranging visits to industries to provide students with real-world exposure. Internships: Facilitating internships in reputed organizations to give students practical experience. Database Management: Student Database: Maintaining an updated database of student profiles, including academic records and skill sets. Employer Database: Keeping a comprehensive list of potential recruiters and maintaining effective and intimate liasioning with them. Career Counseling: One-on-One Sessions: Personalized career counseling sessions to address individual student queries and concerns. Career Workshops: Workshops on career opportunities, higher education options, and competitive exams.

Industry Academia Interaction- Bridging the Gap
The Dolphin Training & Placement Cell takes the initiative to foster interaction with various industries, academicians, NGOs etc. The members of the placement cell actively participate in workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and conferences to create value and promote passion for learning. The eminent specialist from both Industry and academic area are invited to deliver lectures on various topics to enrich the knowledge of students about latest trend, techniques of industry, and the relevance of academic studies to the professional world.
Guest Lectures
The eminent specialists from various industries are invited throughout the year to give presentations on modern techniques adopted in different sectors and on various instruments, providing students with an opportunity to clarify their queries regarding the practical aspects of transitioning from academics to industry.
Clinical Training / Posting / Internship
The Dolphin Training & Placement Cell is actively involved in assisting students with internship programs at leading hospitals such as Apollo, Fortis, Tata Hospitals, Wimhans, Ram Manohar Lohia, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, and others. The institute has tied up with these hospitals to provide clinical training in various specializations.
Short Term Training / Summer Training
The Dolphin Training & Placement Cell follows a unique approach, beyond routine academic activities, by offering summer training programs to students at the end of each academic session. This allows students to gain industry exposure and practical experience before they graduate. As a result, Dolphin students are confident and self-motivated when transitioning into the industry, having already gained hands-on experience during their studies.
Project Dissertation Work
We prepare our students to be more competitive in the industrial environment by providing practical exposure across various departments, such as Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Stability, Production Formulation, and Human Resources. This experience helps them become familiar with key processes, including testing of raw materials, water, finished products (post-sterilization), documentation, and instrumentation, all in accordance with CGMP guidelines for regulatory compliance. This training equips our students with knowledge and skills that give them an edge over fresh graduates when they enter the professional world.
Off Campus Placement / On Campus Placement
The Dolphin Training & Placement Cell regularly invites industries from across the country to offer job opportunities to students in various departments. The cell’s primary focus is on maximizing student placements in the corporate sector, across multiple streams such as Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverages, Cosmetics, Distilleries, and renowned hospitals.
Industrial Visits
Industrial tours are organized periodically for students to help them become familiar with inter-departmental practices, such as the working atmosphere of the industry, the operational systems, and various machines. These tours are conducted not only in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, beverages, fermentation, and cosmetics, but also in organizations like IMTECH, NDRI, ICAR, and CIMAP
