Physiothrapy services at the Skiing competition
The Department of Physiotherapy provided physiothrapy services at the Skiing competition at Munsyari from 14th to 27th February 2025. MPT student Abhishek Negi played a key role in providing injury prevention, management, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement services to athletes. His contributions included personalized warm-up and cool-down routines, on-site injury assessments, and immediate treatment for injuries, ensuring athletes maintained peak performance and recovered quickly.
The experience offered Negi valuable exposure to elite sports physiotherapy, enhancing his technical knowledge and understanding of sports-specific rehabilitation. Additionally, networking with professionals in the field provided significant career opportunities, including potential job placements and mentorship.
The involvement of DIBNS in providing physiotherapy services at the event contributed to the student’s professional growth, offering hands-on experience and fostering career advancement opportunities.
