Anti Ragging

STATEMENT AGAINST RAGGING

Fellowship is cultured within communities through mutual respect and gratitude. The practice of ragging undermines these very values. The Dolphin (PG) Institute believes in strengthening society by encouraging healthy fellowship between all our students. Ragging remains a disturbing reality for many in Higher Educational Institutes; we recognize that ragging can psychologically and physically cause students serious, sometimes fatal, harm. It is a detriment to students’ flourishing growth, both as individuals and as a group. We aim to eradicate this repulsive practice from the campus and have zero tolerance for any form of ragging and are committed to keep the D.I.B.N.S. campus ragging-free.

We have appointed an Anti-Ragging Cell (ARC) to handle and resolve any complaint of ragging that is brought to its attention. They are also responsible for filing a F.I.R against the offender and to pursue/aid-in any further legal action (requested or required, within their capacity). Please remember ragging is a punishable offence according to the Law of the Land. If any student/faculty/staff witnesses any form of ragging they are required to bring it to the notice of the ARC immediately. If any student has went through or is going through ragging, they are encouraged to seek help from the ARC as well as from a mental health professional. The student can choose to seek help from the counselor(s) appointed by the Institute.

IN CASE OF COMPLAINT

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Authority to be informed within the premises of the Institute, all residents’ hostels; in the Institute or public transport, and the resident quarters of the students outside the Institute premises. Any student caught in the act of ragging will be immediately rusticated from the Institute and the matter will be reported to the police for legal action as per the law of the land.
